Daulton Wilson fifth in Knoxville Natoinals with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
Back behind the wheel of a JRR Motorsports ride this weekend, Daulton Wilson joined the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in the state of Iowa at Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway for the 21st-annual Knoxville Nationals.
With $10,000 up for grabs in Thursday's opener, Wilson came out of the gate strong as he recorded a podium finish in the rain-shortened main event. He finished third, trailing Garrett Alberson and Tyler Erb while Ricky Thornton Jr. and Jonathan Davenport completed the Top-5. Daulton recorded a DNF in Friday's preliminary feature.
Locked into the seventh-starting position for Saturday's finale, Daulton kept his nose clean over the 75-lap, $75,000-to-win feature and rounded out the Top-5 in fifth.
Jason Jameson and Justin Rattliff competed in Ultimate Crate-santioned Damn Yankees 50 at Richmond (Ky.) Raceway on Saturday evening and both recorded Top-10 outings in tenth and seventh.
