JRR Motorsports Bids Farewell to Daulton Wilson
Kentucky Team Ends Four-Year Stint with North Carolina Racer
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (10/20/25) – Change is constant in motorsports, and today, JRR Motorsports announced that it is parting ways with driver Daulton Wilson, marking the end of a successful four-year partnership.
The Fayetteville, North Carolina native concluded his tenure with the team this past weekend at the 45th annual Dirt Track World Championship at Eldora Speedway, where he finished 15th in Saturday’s 100-lap main event and secured eighth in the final Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings.
“This was a very hard decision for everyone at JRR,” said team owner James Rattliff. “Daulton has always carried himself with professionalism and represented JRR Motorsports with class. I’ve enjoyed every minute of the past four years. We’ve made incredible memories together — many I’ll never forget. He’s a great driver, and more importantly, a great person. I wish him nothing but the best in 2026 and wherever his career takes him.”
Wilson's time with JRR Motorsports saw several career milestones, including his first-ever national touring series victory with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at East Bay Raceway Park during the Wieland Winternationals finale in February 2024. He continued to build momentum in 2025, collecting three more wins — highlighted by a career-best $50,000 victory in a 602 Late Model event at Fayetteville Motor Speedway.
“It’s definitely bittersweet,” said Wilson. “After four years on the road together, these guys have become like family to me. I’m going to miss being part of this team, but I’m incredibly thankful to James and the entire Rattliff family for believing in me. We’ve shared some amazing moments and picked up some of the biggest wins of my career. I’ll always be grateful for everything they’ve done to support me.”
Looking ahead, JRR Motorsports is expected to announce a new driver soon, continuing its three-car operation alongside drivers Justin Rattliff and Jason Jameson.
