Wilson takes $6,000 North/South prelim; Jason Jameson sixth in $75,000 finale
Tackling the biggest Dirt Late Model weekend in the state of Kentucky, all three JRR Motorsports cars were in attendance for the 43rd-annual Sunoco North/South 100 at Florence Speedway (Walton, Ky.) with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
Kicking off the three-day crown jewel event, Jameson recorded a Top-10 finish in his preliminary feature while Wilson drove the wheels of his No. 18 machine to score a $6,000 victory in his preliminary feature. Daulton kept Bobby Pierce behind him and held off a hard-charging Brandon Overton for the prize. Rattliff finished 12th in his feature.
The following night, Wilson dealt with mechanical issues while Jameson drove to another solid Top-10 finish in the second prelim feature. Justin Rattliff found speed as he drove from 10th-to-3rd in the 25-lapper to land on the podium. He trailed Devin Moran and Hudson O'Neal while Garrett Alberson and Carson Ferguson completed the Top-5.
All three drivers raced their way into the 100-lap, $75,000-to-win finale on Saturday where Jameson finished the best with a sixth-place outing in the crown jewel. Wilson and Rattliff were early retirees, finishing 23rd and 24th.
